Born in Tacoma and having spent the last 10 years in Hawaii I have always had a love for the water. I started Buccaneer Academy to share what I have learned over the years living aboard a sailboat in Hawaii and working on the water as both captain and crew of a variety of vessels.

Designed by Carl Alberg as a capable pocket cruiser, the "North Star" is a simple vessel with accommodations below for a small family to weekend on. Several have been even sailed back and forth from Hawaii to California!
Buccaneer Academy Uses "North Star" to Teach Sailing 101/102 as well as do private lessons and charters.
Boat - 12ft Ranger Dinghy
A Beautiful 12ft Sailing Dinghy made here in Kent, Washington by Ranger Yachts. It was originally molded off a wooden European racing class dinghy, and very few were ever produced.
Buccaneer Academy is proud to own her and allows her to show off her grace in our "How To Row A Boat" Lesson!
Boat - 10ft Nordic Peanut
A classic scow bow nordic dinghy for shallow water cruising and balanced performance between rowing, storage capacity, and sailing ability.
We use her in our "How To Row A Boat" Lesson as she is great under oars!
